“But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.”— 1 Corinthians 2:10

There are truths that books cannot teach. There are moments too sacred for words, burdens too deep for tears, and wisdom that flows not from intellect but from intimacy with God. And on this Mother’s Day, I want to honor the women who have carried those deep things—the mothers, grandmothers, and mentors whose lives are laced with revelation.
The Scripture tells us that the Spirit searches the deep things of God—and I believe He often deposits those things into the hearts of women who kneel in hidden places. Women who wipe noses and tears with the same hands they lift in prayer. Women who don't just teach memory verses but model unshakable faith in seasons of lack, illness, heartbreak, and joy.
Mothers Who Walk in the Spirit
Some of us learned our first lessons in faith not from a pulpit but from the corner of a bed, where our mother whispered prayers. Others remember the songs of grandmothers, cracked with age but full of fire. Still others were drawn to Jesus by a teacher, a neighbour, a church mother who saw potential through our brokenness and called it forth. These women are vessels of the Spirit and their quiet obedience echoes louder than many sermons.
Mentors and Midwives of Purpose
To the spiritual mothers, those who never birthed children biologically, but have birthed dreams, nurtured purpose, and covered us in intercession, you are mothers in every divine sense. You did not just support, you stewarded the deep things of God often before they were seen.
You are like the Holy Spirit—guiding, comforting, revealing, convicting, and strengthening. We bless you.
A Legacy of Depth
The legacy of a Spirit-led woman is not measured in accolades but in generations transformed. She might not be celebrated on platforms, but heaven knows her name. Her children may not always say thank you, but her prayers hold them together in their most fragile moments.
So today, I am saying thank you.
Thank you for listening to the Spirit when no one else was watching.
Thank you for discerning what others didn’t have the language to say.
Thank you for pouring from empty places because your strength came from God.
Thank you for showing that depth with God is not a destination—it is a walk.
Word of Blessing
To every mother, grandmother, and mentor reading this: May the Lord refresh your soul, reignite your vision and reward you openly for what you have carried in secret.
You are seen. You are celebrated and you are deeply loved.
Happy Mother’s Day.
